 Iran condemns Quetta terrorist attack

TEHRAN, Oct. 25 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi condemned the overnight raid by militants in Quetta of Pakistan early on Tuesday.

Strongly slamming the attacks by heavily-armed militants wearing suicide vests storming a police academy in Quetta, killing at least 60 people and wounding dozens more, Ghasemi announced Iran's readiness to help the Pakistani government.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has always stressed the need for cooperation in fighting terrorist groups and expressed readiness to help Pakistani government," Ghasemi underlined.

He offered condolences to the government and people of the friend and brother country of Pakistan over the painful event, and expressed sympathy with the the heinous killing's victims' families.

He also called for collective efforts for serious and fundamental fight against the evil and ominous phenomenon of terrorism.
